Welcome Single Moms!!

Welcome to Ladies in the Hall...
Have you ever had a time in your life
that one door closed, no other doors opened,
and nothing else seemed to work out the way you wanted?

You have probably had this occur more than on one occasion.
That's ok, you are at an in between place in your life...
You're visiting in the hall.

Why am I sitting in this mess? Why is life soooo hard?
Have you ever had a prayer you felt like wasn't answered??
No one was listening or even caring for that fact!??
Well, God DOES answer prayers!
His answer may be (like it or not!) yes, no or NOT YET.

Again, you are in the hall. Not a bad place to be,
but often we need courage and encouragement while we are there.
God's word is the key to our freedom(door) and is there for our guidance to live life in love with Him. Not there yet??? That's ok... the Lord has a way with teaching us how to grow to love and then showing us how to love to grow!
What prayers do you have yet to be answered? Or better yet, do you have answered prayers to share, so others feel your hope?

Ladies, we invite you to enjoy your visit in the hall!
Our mission is to minister through prayer, scripture and support of single moms needing healing and looking for the spiritual guidance for their family.
If you have prayer needs, concerns or testimonies through your messes, please post so others may be comforted and prayed over. We ask that no abusive language be used or destructive words about another person. This is solely a site to be uplifted and encouraged to find the true love in life...Christ.
Romans 15:4
New Living Translation (NLT)Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

Just for Today...11-26-08
I pray to be a person that loves, and shows it, seeks wisdom, and shares it and finds peace in the hallway of life. True peace in knowing I TRUST in the Lord to be with me no matter where I find myself. My heart may cry for another's comfort, but Christ wants to be the comforter first! He never leaves or forsakes me...thank you Lord!
I have been single for 5 years with 4 kids. All are now out of the house but one! I love photography and funny books as well as writing poetry and slogans. My life is finally beginning to make sense and is wonderful. Lots of anger, resentment and hate has been removed in order for the right doors to open. I can truly say in the tough journey, I learned who I don't want to be, who I should be, and who I am until I get there! Each day we grow...one way or another. So, my daily question is how can I grow to be of service to you Lord?

Way to go Claire! I love this site and I love knowing YOU and how God has gotten you to this place of turning a mess into a ministry. HE IS GREATER! YES LORD!

Amazing Claire......God has you right where He needs you and this analogy is awesome. We do focus so much on a closed door in our life that we cannot begin to see that a new door will open in His timing. The hallway is the opportunity to seek God and grow into what He needs us to be.....women who seek Him first and love Him like we have never loved before! He has to prevail no matter what our lives hold! Glory is all for Our God!!

This reminded me of the "the flesh man" and "the spirit man" that Beth has been so wonderfully teaching us about. Enjoy!

Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee
told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside all people.
He said, 'My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us
all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies,
false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace,
love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy,
generosity, truth, compassion and faith.'

The grandson thought about it for a
minute and then asked his grandfather: 'Which wolf
wins?'

The old Cherokee simply replied, 'The one you
feed.'

For those of us that were so fortunate at the single moms Christmas party to have had our hands massaged with cream and our feet cleansed and rubbed for our talk on exfoliation, how wonderful!!! We had an unexpected surprise with our Gina's new song, 'The Hallway'. (we hope to soon have it uploaded for your listening pleasure!)
Our speakers were so insightful as we can reflect on our own sloughing of our inequities that might keep us from hearing from God or not getting as close as we would like. Just remember how clean our feet felt and putting the lotion back on signifies putting on the right 'stuff' after cleansing.
The Word says:

Ezekiel 36:25
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.

Can you identify any impurities or idols you could exfoliate to live a cleaner life??
One of my 'idols' happen to be shopping whether I needed to or not. It filled the time and was a temporary fix to a void. I can truly say, I am not chained to stores or shopping-only when I need to...a far cry from just to do it!!!
I also felt a cleansing after examining my free time habits, such as what I was watching on TV or music I was listening to each day.
Has anyone else had to deal with this and what changes or struggles do you deal with? What scriptures have helped you?

Hope all is well...does anyone need a 6ft tall artificial Christmas tree?

Also we need to keep Andrea T in our prayers as she has a DRS appointment on Dec 17 to deal with some issuses she is having with her thyroid.

"Stand In The Rain"

She never slows down.
She doesn't know why but she knows that when she's all alone, feels like its all coming down
She won't turn around
The shadows are long and she fears if she cries that first tear, the tears will not stop raining down

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

She won't make a sound
Alone in this fight with herself and the fears whispering if she stands she'll fall down
She wants to be found
The only way out is through everything she's running from wants to give up and lie down.

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
Stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain
